The opportunities to explore and play are limitless. Waskesiu has something for everyone including quiet hikes in the Northern Boreal Forest, adventures on the lake enjoying your favourite water sports, a day on one of Saskatchewan’s premier golf courses, good times on the beach, and the glow of an evening lake sunset. Visit during our winter season to experience cross country and snowshoe trails in the Prince Albert National Park.

Grey Owl Center
The Grey Owl Center, located in downtown Waskesiu, is famous for the bright yellow “Little Deuce Coupe” quadra cycle. You can rent bicycles for all ages, bicycles built for two, off-road bikes; everything you need for a fun ride including helmets. Also for rent are outdoor adventure equipment like canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and peddle boats, AND they offer on-site wireless hotspot and internet stations.

Waskesiu Marina
Visit the Waskesiu Marina and choose from boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and even paddle boarding! They offer pontoon boat interpretive tours and sunset cruises. Bringing your own boat? Moorage spots are available on site.

Cross Country Skiing
Visitors will be able to enjoy several groomed ski trails this winter, thanks to volunteers of the Waskesiu Lake Ski Club and Parks Canada. The remaining trails are not groomed or cleared of fallen trees and are tracked by users. You can borrow skis, snowshoes, and children's chariots with cross-country ski kits from the Hawood Inn in Waskesiu.
